Travel

We recommend traveling a few days to a week in advance of the wedding to adjust to the time difference. Many flight routes take you through Europe, so spending a few days there could be a good option too. There’s lots to see in Egypt – we’ve included some of our sightseeing recommendations below.

Please reach out to us if you have questions about setting up tours within Egypt.

Getting to Cairo

Airport
Cairo International Airport (CAI)

Visa
US visitors can get a visa on arrival. Bring $25 USD cash per person for the visa, which you will obtain from the Bank of Egypt in the arrival hall, prior to going through immigration

Getting Around

  • Uber is reliable and inexpensive. We recommend this as your primary way to get around as driving is difficult in Cairo.
  • Cabs are ok but can but there will be a language barrier if you don’t speak Arabic.
